Rhiannon on Horseback Cold Cast Bronze Statue
Rhiannon is a Welsh horse goddess in the Mabinogi, the earliest prose stories of the literature of Britain. Like other figures of British/Welsh literary tradition. It is generally accepted among scholars that Rhiannon and the Gaulish horse goddess epona are somewhat related or maybe the same deity. She and her son are often depicted as mare and foal. Like Epona, Rhiannon and her mount may also have been leaders of the soul in the after-life ride.
This cold cast bronze statue measures approximately 9" tall, 3.5" wide, and 11.5" long.
