More About Kunzite:

Kunzite is the pink variety of Spodumene. It is a monoclinic crystal displaying striations on the surface of semi-rare lavender to lilac pink, transparent crystals. This mineral is often artificially irradiated to intensify its color (especially in specimens originating from Afghanistan). This mineral was named in 1903 in honor of American mineralogist George Frederick Kunz. Because of its relatively recent discovery, Kunzite has no known historical significance.

Kunzite is a very gentle stone. For people who are highly sensitive to crystal energy, it is an excellent crystal to work with. It promotes bliss and positive thinking. It acts to push negative patterns out of your energy field by filling up your energy body. Kunzite is a stone of the heart, working to help you manifest peace and contentment into all facets of your life. This stone can also help to reaffirm your faith in trying times. It has a soft, healing energy that can be supportive for people or animals who are struggling with anxiety. This crystal encourages you to be playful and to allow yourself to take necessary breaks from work or pressing responsibilities when it would prove beneficial to your health and mental wellbeing.

Keep a piece of Kunzite on your person during difficult life periods or major changes (i.e. moving, divorce, career change, retirement, etc.) to help smooth the transition and help you maintain a positive outlook. It is best worn as a pendant over the heart center, but may also be carried in your pocket or handbag.
