Nyx Goddess of the Night Cold Cast Bronze Statue
Nyx is the Greek primordial goddess of the night and magic. She is the daughter of Chaos, the primordial void, and it is said that she was created during the beginning of time along with her siblings Gaia, Tartarus, Eros, and Erebus.
Β
As one of the oldest deities in Greek mythology, Nyx often isn't the central focus of the story but rather acts as the personification of darkness, mysticism, and shadow as a force too omnipotent to be directly involved in mortal or even Godly affairs. She resides in the realm of Hades in the depths of Tartarus, however her influence can sway mankind to the side of good or evil.
Β
In ancient art Nyx was depicted as a winged goddess, sometimes riding on a chariot or aureoled with darkness.
This cold cast bronze statue measures approximately 11" tall, 7" wide, and 4.5" deep.
