Athena Verdigris Gypsumstone Statue

Wisdom and Civilization.
The Parthenon was constructed upon the Acropolis just to house this magnificent, venerable 30-foot-tall image, by Pheidias. Athena's importance was maintained even after warfare had transformed Greek goddess civilization.
Her attributes are self-confidence, power, courage, intelligence and diplomacy. The Romans called her Minerva. The virgin goddess gained the powers of the Gorgon Medusa, whose face is embossed on her shield.
